Battle of Gettysburg
In July 1863, at a road town in southern Pennsylvania, the Army of the Potomac under George Meade met Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia on its raid north of the Potomac. The three-day fight is one of the largest field actions of the American Civil War.
