Henry V of England

1386–1422

Henry revived the English claim to the French crown and campaigned in Normandy. In 1415, short of food on the march from Harfleur to Calais, he fought at Agincourt. The later treaty of Troyes named him heir to the French king, a settlement that did not outlive him by long.
